Repeated lateness: send the student an automatic reminder

Built by Edusign · Attendance

Late arrivals disrupt classes long before they affect absence figures. An automatic reminder after a few late arrivals is often enough to correct the behaviour, without taking up the team's time.

Alerts are recalculated every night at 04:15: the email goes out the following morning.

Why turn on this alert

A single late arrival does not need a conversation. Three in a month do. The alert sends the reminder to the student, without the team having to keep count.

  • The reminder goes out on its own, with no action from the team.
  • You set the threshold and the period to match your practices.
  • The alert stays visible in the Alerts section.

Alert or automation?

An alert fires above a threshold over a period. To notify someone at every event, with no threshold, use an automation instead.

Automation: message to the student for every late arrival ›
