« Of course I would recommend Edusign. It’s technology, and it’s part of the administrative process that a classroom should have. »

of Erick's teaching experience
For years, Erick took attendance the most traditional way: a paper sheet passed hand to hand among students. For first-semester groups of up to 45 students, this method took 5 to 10 minutes at the start of every class.
The lost time added up. Five to ten minutes per session, multiplied by dozens of classes each week, represented a considerable volume of teaching time sacrificed. Erick, accustomed to teaching for over two decades, felt this process no longer matched the reality of his students, born in the digital age.
Like Humberto Acevedo, his colleague at UNAM who managed roll call for 80 students manually, Erick was looking for a solution that respected his class rhythm without sacrificing the rigour of attendance tracking.
« We go to the computer, project the QR code on screen and as students arrive, they sign in. It's something very simple, very easy. »
Erick Abraham Correa Montejo, Master in Education, Faculty of Economics, UNAM
The transition to Edusign happened naturally. Erick projects the QR code on the classroom screen as soon as he arrives, and students sign in as they enter. The process that used to take 5 to 10 minutes now happens in seconds, without interrupting the class.
Today's students, born in the 21st century, are naturally receptive to technology. They see Edusign not as a constraint, but as a logical evolution of higher education. Erick is part of the first group at the Faculty of Economics to use in-person attendance via QR code, paving the way for his colleagues.
Since the pandemic, digital technology has become a necessity in education. Erick's adoption of Edusign proves that even the most experienced lecturers can embrace digital tools when they are simple and intuitive. Centralised attendance data enables real-time tracking with no extra effort.
« They are very receptive, they do it very well, they take it in a very natural way. I wish my former students could see that we now take attendance with a QR code. »
Erick Abraham Correa Montejo, Master in Education, Faculty of Economics, UNAM
For Erick, the verdict is clear: Edusign is part of the administrative process that a 21st-century classroom must have. It is not a tech gadget, but a tool that integrates naturally into the daily management of a class.
His enthusiasm goes beyond UNAM's walls. Erick recommends Edusign to other lecturers and other faculties. His own wife, who teaches at Universidad Anahuac, already knows about the tool and is considering adopting it. Erick's goal: to see Edusign deployed not only across the entire UNAM, but also in other Mexican universities.
Like Erick, other Latin American educators have adopted Edusign: Universidad Linda Vista in Chiapas and Humberto Acevedo at the same Faculty of Economics. Discover our digital attendance, remote attendance and e-signature solutions.
« Of course I would recommend Edusign to other lecturers, to another faculty. It's technology and it's part of the administrative process that a classroom should have. We hope that soon we can go to Universidad Anahuac, for example, where my wife teaches. »
